Whisky Live Returns to Hong Kong
Having made its Hong Kong debut in 2016, Whisky Live Hong Kong returns for its fourth edition at PMQ in Central on 12 October this year.
Founded in the UK, the event’s footprint now stretches to more than 33 international cities. Last year in Hong Kong, 2,000 whisky enthusiasts took part in the celebration of the amber spirit together with world-renowned whisky makers, master blenders and brand ambassadors.
This year, the event will return with more than 500 whiskies, intriguing masterclasses, wonderful concoctions from local premier mixologists, and fantastic whisky and food pairings designed by renowned chefs. Riding on the gin craze and Scotch sensation around the globe, Gin Place and British/Scottish Zone are two new additions to the show.
Rare whiskies and limited edition bottles will also be available for sale. Diageo is going to offer pre-orders for its Single Malt Special Release 2019 at the event.
The event also features programmes with strong lifestyle elements. Copper Dog, a blended Scotch whisky newly launched in Hong Kong, will launch a pop-up barber shop and give drinkers a refreshed outlook while spoiling them with a cocktail and whisky tasting. Rhythm in a Cask Music Festival will be back as well to present a hybrid of Funk, R&B, Soul and Blues music.
Ticket starts from HK$250, with an early-bird discount available. The Premium Pass (costing HK$1,080/person) is limited to just 500 sets. On top of enjoying extra perks, the package also comes with The Balvenie Whisky Ambience Set, which includes a 50ml bottle of The Balvenie Double Wood Aged 12 Years and a 100ml limited edition Scent of Speyside Diffuser.
