Jeweller teams up with Bath Distillery to unveil £10k diamond gin
Independent UK jeweller Nicholas Wylde has teamed up with Bath Distillery to create a bottle of gin mounted with a 1 carat diamond worth £10,000.
After distillery founder Peter Meacock and jeweller Nicholas Wylde struck up a friendship, bonding over their shared love of gin, the two businesses decided to combine their resources and create a competition.
As such, they’re offering gin and diamond lovers the chance to win a one-litre bottle of Bath’s Wylde Flower Diamond Gin containing a 1 carat diamond.
To be in with a chance of winning the ultimate prize, consumers must buy a 70cl bottle of any of Bath’s gins – including the original, hopped rhubarb and orange sloe gins – between 1 September 2019 and 31 January 2020.
The neck label on each bottle will include instructions to open the bottle cap to find a code which can be entered in at nicholaswylde.com/gin. There will also be 25 mini prizes up for grabs.
The winner will be announced next February. The victor and a guest will also receive a visit to Bath where they’ll visit both the jewellers and the distillery, meet the founders and sample Wylde Flower Gin cocktails.
Nicholas Wylde set up his own business in 1987. He has his own patented diamond cut, called the Wylde Flower Diamond, which has 81 precisely cut facets, 24 more than a brilliant-cut diamond.
Bath Distillery makes its gins on site at is Canary Gin Bar Distillery. It opened the distillery in 2016 in what was the city’s first distillery in over 250 years, after securing £750,000 worth of funding.
