Mazi team to launch second Greek restaurant in London
The duo behind Greek restaurant Mazi, husband and wife Ardrien Carre and Christina Mouratoglou, will open a Greek bistro and cocktail bar in Notting Hill this month called Suzi Tros.
Named in homage to the cult 1960s Greek film I Parisiana and translating as ‘Suzi, you eat,’ the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner.
With the kitchen led by Mazi’s head chef John Skotidas, the menu will consist of small plates inspired by the cuisine of Thessaloniki and northern Greece with a charcoal grill operating at the centre of the restaurant.
The menu is set to feature dishes such as smoked aubergine, tahini and honey; whole grilled calamari; and grandmama’s meatballs with tzatziki and handmade chips.
The drinks list will offer an extensive selection of Greek wines alongside beers and spirits from independent Greek producers.
The two-floor venue will comprise of an upstairs dining room and a cocktail bar below, with the interior’s colour palette inspired by the Mediterranean coastline.
Suzi Tros will launch this month.
