Nyetimber to relaunch demi-sec
English wine producer Nyetimber has announced the re-launch of its demi-sec cuvée with a “new name and new positioning”.
Named ‘Cuvee Chérie’, the new cuvée is a follow up to the original demi-sec wine that the estate first released in 2012 but with a new name and packaging.
The name itself is in part a reference to head winemaker, Cherie Spriggs while the wine is made from Chardonnay in Nyetimber’s West Sussex and Hampshire vineyards.
The company said in a statement: “In repositioning this wine, the aim is to connect with consumers who appreciate fine food and wine about the wide range of gastronomic choices that it can pair with.
“The packaging for Cuvee Chérie has been updated to reflect the shield label design introduced to the Nyetimber range in 2018 to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary.”
Cuvée Cherie will be available from select retailers and on-trade accounts with an RRP of £37.99.
