DRC confirms new co-director
Perrine Fenal, the daughter of Lalou Bize-Leroy, has taken up the role as co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, following the death of her cousin last year.
Henri-Frédéric Roch died late last year aged just 56 having been co-director of the famous Burgundian estate since the early 1990s.
His cousin Fenal took up her new post on 23 January this year having held an advisory position at the estate for a number of years with Henri de Villaine.
Other than that she has not been very actively involved in the wine industry and lives in Geneva with her family.
Speaking to the drinks business at the annual tasting of the latest release from the domaine, Aubert de Villaine said that the domaine’s joint directorship with Henri Roch had “worked beautifully, it was a great relationship” and he felt sure it would be the same with Fenal, who he said he had known, “forever, since she was a baby”.
