Morus, the flashest of gins, went on-sale exclusively in London’s Harvey Nichols last month.

Morus LXIV – which is distilled from the leaves of a single “ancient” Mulberry tree, is produced by London-based Jam Jar Gin. It is sold in hand-made porcelain jars, while the Mulberry tree leaves are hand-harvested by Jam Jar founders and husband-and-wife team Dan and Faye Thwaites. This elixir can be yours for a mere £4,000.

Fancy glassware aficionado Riedel has presented a new edition of its classic mamba decanter with an elegant and complex design just in-time for xmas. Who wouldn’t want to watch as all that lovely, lovely grape juice travels from the bottom of the vessel to your glass. The crystal glass decanters are handcrafted, and mouth blown in the medieval, Austrian town of Kufstein. For just £395, you can watch as your loved one stashes it in the glassware cupboard for a special occasion, and never uses it again.

This five-figure Scotch is a piece of British history. The 52-year-old Macallan whisky was made with peated malt, due to the high post-war prices of coal. You can find it on the Whisky Exchange for a mere £30,000.

Planning ahead? The Isle of Raasay Distillery is hosting a Burns and Whisky Weekend a stone’s throw away from where the poet, Sorley Maclean, was born.

The deal includes a two-night stay for two including all meals, checking in Friday 25th January, checking out Sunday 27th January 2019.

Guests will dine at the distillery on Friday evening and enjoy a hearty lunch on Saturday before an exclusive whisky tasting and warehouse tour with the distillery’s co-founder, Alasdair Day. All this can be yours for a relatively reasonable £339.

The Macallan may be known for its seriously expensive whiskies, but many distillers are also bolstering their tourism offerings. The Macallan recently teamed up with Monarch Air Group and Golden Yacht Charters to launch The Macallan Masters Journey, a private jet, yacht and whisky experience with prices starting at US$46,000 (£36,690).

Piper-Heidsieck has released two special editions of its Rare Champagne brand. Called Rare Le Secret High Jewellery and Rare Le Secret Goldsmiths, both bottles, which are available exclusively at Harrods, were designed in collaboration with French jewellery house Mellerio. Only three High Jewellery bottles are on sale in Harrods, each fastened with a piece of jewellery “inspired by the bows that adorned Marie-Antoinette’s lavish gowns”.

The gold band that wraps around the neck of the bottle comes set with 510 diamonds, and a centrepiece of one of four precious stones (ruby, sapphire or emerald – a diamond version was sold in advance in France).

The Rare Le Secret High Jewellery – in sapphire, ruby, and emerald – is priced at £115,000 per bottle, while the Goldsmith version comes in at a more affordable £1,150.
