Charcuterie specialist retailer Cannon & Cannon has launched a new meat and beer pairing tins for Christmas 2019.

The new beer pairing tin  features cans of pilsner and stout from cult UK brewries Northern Monk and Fourpure, plus scotch bonnet beersticks, chilli jerky and more.

The armchair adventurer

Is your beery friend a dab hand in the kitchen? Do they want to explore the craft scene in an oddly specific part of the UK? Subscription service Beer52 curates cases of beers from breweries across the country and delivers them right to your door one a month. Last month, the company teamed up with 13 London-based restauranteurs and chefs to create a line of exclusive release beers that pair with their food offerings, including collaborations with Peruvian restaurant Ceviche and Hackney-based brunch spot The Good Egg.

It’s the ideal gift for a beer fan who likes to try new things, but doesn’t have the time to seek them out for themselves.

The festival junkie

Does your friend treat GBBF like Glastonbury? Craft Beer Rising is returning to east London next February, and what better way to celebrate the inevitable failure of your new years’ resoltions than with tickets to two says of wall-to-wall hops?

All 155 breweries taking part in CBR19 will be announced before the event but currently, headliners so far include Brewdog, London Fields Brewery, Mondo, Cardiff’s Tiny Rebel and Bermondsey-based Fourpure.

The Flemish fan

Does your craft beer buddy always wax lyrical about the high quality of Belgian beers? Duvel brewery has unveiled a gift pack containing its award-winning golden and triple-hopped ales, complete with its own chalice to add to the glassware collection.

Since its release the Duvel Tripel Hop Citra won a gold medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge, as well as a consumer trophy at the Zythos Beer Festival.

The nature-loving tourist

If you’ve seen one brewery behind the scenes, you’ve seen them all, right?

Wrong.

Craft brand Hiver, based in London, brews beer from honey, and has teamed up with the Albourne Estate vineyard, in South Downs National Park, to offer an insight into the world of bees, beekeeping and beer.

After helping Hiver’s beekeeper handle the frames, participants will head to Albourne Estate’s tasting room to relax over a honey beer and food matching session.

Tickets are available to purchase now for the 2019 season.

The animal lover

Is the dog their best friend? Is the dog their only friend? Is your best friend a dog? Either way, this will put a smile on their face.

Scottish craft brewer BrewDog has made a beer specifically for dogs; the Subwoofer IPA.

It’s alcohol and hop-free, non-carbonated, and contains canine-friendly B vitamins and probiotics beneficial for dogs. It’s said to be packed with “citrus overtones and a familiar malt backbone”, similar to its brews made for humans.
