Dre Masso to open vinyl-filled bar in Mayfair
Legendary London bartender Dre Masso is to open Fam bar and kitchen in Mayfair next month alongside mixologist and Tequila ambassador Megs Miller.
Fam boast a vinyl collection featuring everyone from The Beatles to Michael Jackson
Located behind Selfridges on Duke Street, Masso and Miller will collaborate with bar operators Eric Yu and Martin Malley on the project.

Fam’s ethos is to celebrate “the people in life who are closest – best friends and chosen family” via eclectic cocktails, seasonal food and contemporary design.
The 50-cover site will pay homage to London’s bartending community and will include portraits of some of the capital’s most prominent bartenders past and present.
A wall filled with vinyl records chosen by Masso and Miller’s friends and family, including Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall and The Beatles’ Abbey Road, will allow guests to request a song or album that catches their eye.
Fam will use locally sourced and “rescued” ingredients and materials wherever possible throughout its menu, and will shine a light on locally spirits.
The Sir Duke cocktail, for example, is made with a London potato vodka, nettle cordial, house citrus and pastis from the nearby Bloomsbury Distillery.
The Claymore meanwhile, features blended whisky stirred down with English sparkling wine cordial.
The bar snack offering is inspired by nostalgic family recipes, and includes the likes of ham and cheese toasties with tomato compote; butternut squash soup with hot-buttered soldiers; and English Cheddar spread with sourdough chips.
