Barefoot finds UK’s 10 most expressive pets

California wine brand Barefoot has unearthed the 10 most expressive pets in the UK and has gifted their owners with bottles of Barefoot featuring their pet’s paw print.

Called ‘Paws For A Cause’, over 1,000 pet owners entered the nationwide competition, which generated over 14,000 likes on Facebook.

Chosen by an independent judging panel, the owners of the winning pets have been given a bottle of Barefoot Chardonnay customised with their pet’s paw print and name on the label.

Barefoot has also made a donation to each pet charity of the winners’ choice.

“We’re thrilled with the level of engagement
we’ve received from consumers. It’s through positive campaigns like this that we are able to bring a smile to our consumers’ faces,” said a spokesperson for Barefoot.

The Barefoot brand launched in California in the 1960s with a mission to make wine more fun and approachable. The brand is on sale across the UK with an RRP of £6.99, and £8.99 for its Barefoot Bubbly sparkling wine.

The brand first launched in the UK in 2009, and, according to Nielsen, is currently the world’s number one bottled wine brand by sales revenue.

The most recent additions to the UK range include a Malbec, which launched in 2016, a Shiraz/Cabernet blend and a Pinot Grigio rosé.
