Gordon Ramsay HK venue to relocate
Chef Gordon Ramsay’s first venue in Hong Kong, Bread St Kitchen, is to close later this month ahead of a relocation to a new site.
As reported by the South China Morning Post, the restaurant will close on 19 August and reopen in a new location in the city early next year.
The 90-cover restaurant was opened in the LKF Hotel in 2014 and was the celebrity chef’s first foray into the Asian dining scene.
It was not revealed where the restaurant was relocating to and the decision was a quick one as the hotel in which it was housed has closed and is being redeveloped into offices.
Although Bread St is being temporarily taken out of action, the chef is still ploughing ahead with business partners Dining Concepts to open a Maze Grill (his third venue) in the city this autumn.
