English vermouth, Lebanese wine and pink Tequila on pour at The Wine & Spirits Show
At this year’s Wine & Spirits Show, run by the drinks business and sister title The Spirits Business, consumers will have the chance to try out the latest product releases and vote for their favourite. Click through to view the latest entries.
Taking place on 12 and 13 October in London, The Wine & Spirits Show will feature a selection of the latest products launched in the wine and spirits industries.
Both the Wine and Spirits Halls at the show will each feature a dedicated New Products Zone, showcasing the hottest release unveiled in the last 12 months, keeping guests up to speed on the emerging trends in the market.
Attendees will also asked to vote for their favourite new wine and spirit to be in with a chance of winning a prize. The winning brands will receive a profile page in the magazines to celebrate their success.
The event will be open to both the trade and consumers and will be held in the heart of London at One Whitehall Place, part of five-star hotel the Royal Horseguards. Targeting wine and spirits enthusiasts based in London, around 2,000 members of the general public are expected to attend, alongside members of the wine and spirits trade.
The Wine & Spirits Show will offer one hall dedicated to wines, and another that will be focused entirely on spirits.
The Wine Hall will also feature the Global Masters Zone, showcasing the top medal-winning wines judged throughout the years in the drinks business Global Masters Series.
The Spirits Hall will feature everything from gin and whisky to Tequila, rum and Mezcal. This hall will also host The Spirits Masters Zone, which will be manned by The Spirits Business team and showcase the Spirits Masters competition medallists.
A full schedule of masterclasses, which will be offered FREE on a first come first served basis, will be announced in due course.

Bolney’s Vermouth
The spirit taking the bar world by storm, this vermouth was created by Sam Linter, managing director and head winemaker at Bolney Wine Estate, and fellow winemaker Alex Rabagliati, Bolney’s Rosso Vermouth is an aromatised and fortified wine distilled with botanicals including sloes and elderberries.
The expression is thought to be the first rosso vermouth from Sussex and uses Bolney’s surplus grape juice, ensuring nothing is wasted during the winemaking process.
Launched in May, it is described as having “floral herb, eucalyptus notes and the classic aroma of wormwood”.
Château Ksara Merwah
Lebanese winery Château Ksara will be exhibiting its new white wine that has been made with the local variety Merwah, the first time the grape has been used to make a single variety table wine.
A very old grape that is, according to Lebanese wine expert, Michael Karam, as close to it gets to a “national variety”.
With an alcohol content of 12.5% and with a period of one month aged on fine lees and no oak treatment, the wine has a somewhat oily, textured feel on the palate but this is offset by a rather Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon briskness and fruit profile.
Orkney Gin Rhubarb Old Tom
Made with Orkney-grown rhubarb, Orkney Gin’s new Old Tom gin has been distilled seven times with botanicals including rose, cinnamon and Seville orange peel. Produced using the ‘bath tub method’ in gin is bottled at 41.3% alc and comes in a 50cl stoneware bottle.
Código 1530 Rosa Tequila
From pink gin, we head to pink Tequila with Código’s rose-tinted agave spirit. Once a closely-guarded secret among Mexico’s most respected families and Los Bajos’ finest jimadors, a previously nameless private label Tequila has been released for the very first time under the name Código 1530.
Código’s Rosa Tequila, a blanco Tequila aged for four weeks in uncharred Napa Cabernet barrels, has “subtle floral notes” reminiscent of the red grape variety.
