AB InBev to import craft beer into US
Brewing behemoth AB InBev has received permission to import and distribute some of its international craft beer brands in the US.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau has granted permission for the brewer to introduce several of its non-US beer brands to the American market later this year.
They include: Camden Town Brewery in the UK, Cervejaria Colorado in Brazil, Artesanas de Malta y Cebada in Mexico, Newlands Spring Brewing of South Africa, Archibald Microbrewery of Canada and Belle-Vue Brouwerij of Belgium.
The beers will all be imported in kegs and the Archibald of Canada brews will also be packaged in pints.
The company did not announce any intentions of distributing the brands further at this time.
