Warriors celebrate with $400k of Champagne
NBA team the Golden State Warriors celebrated their recent championship win in style with US$400,000 worth of Champagne.
Having swept the Cleveland Cavaliers in the recent championship series, winning four of the seven games, the team immediately followed in the footsteps of many victorious sportsmen before them and reached for the bubbly – 300 bottles of it.
According to reports in the US media, the fizz of choice for the Warriors were 150 magnums of Moët & Chandon’s limited edition brut Impérial ‘Luminous’ – which not only light up but were presented in a golden bathtub – and 150 magnums of the Nectar Rosé ‘by Public School’ Luminous.
By the looks of the videos and pictures posted to social media however, it would appear a good chunk of that went the way of all Champagne in the hands of a jubilant sports team – all over each other.
