Bottega unveils a new gin and vermouths at Singapore TFWA Fair
Prosecco producer, Bottega, has unveiled three new spirits including a gin and two Vermouths at this year’s travel retail sector at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference.
The Bottega Gin ‘Bacûr’ is distilled using local ingredients including juniper berries from the Veneto region, lemon zest and sage, according to the company.
The bottle is made in blown glass and glazed with a metallised paint that recalls copper stills, as ‘Bacûr’ is the Greek name for ‘copper’.
Described to have “a truly Mediterranean flavour”, the dry, distinct character is said to give it versatility in a range of cocktails. Although being recently launched, the gin is already distributed in over 50 countries worldwide including Bangkok, Malaysia, Shanghai, and South Korea.
The two Vermouths unveiled at the Singapore trade fair which is running from 6-10 May are ‘Vermouth Bianco Bottega’ and ‘Vermouth Rosso Bottega’ using grapes sourced from Veneto. The Bianco is made using Pinot Grigio, while the Rosso uses Merlot.
In addition to the new releases, at TFWA, the winery is also showcasing the complete ‘Bottega’ and ‘Alexander’ ranges, including best-sellers: the flagship Bottega Gold, Bottega Stardust, a dry Prosecco in a crystal-encrusted bottle, and Bottega Limoncino.
