Final exhibitors announced for The City Wine Show

Independent wine wholesaler Ledbury Wine Cellar and Vinifera Wine Club have confirmed their attendance at the City Wine Show 2018, taking place on 13 and 14 April in London.

Gloucestershire-based, independent, family-run wine wholesaler, Ledbury Wine Cellar, is making the journey to London this week. Sourcing its wines mainly from the vineyards of western Europe, its core list contains wines for which its sister company, Winepress Wine Agencies, is the sole agent.

The wholesaler has recently made a selection of wines available in the UK for the first time, including Champagne Francis Orban, Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta from Piedmont, Mas du Novi (Domaine du St. Jean Noviciat) from the Languedoc and Rioja producer Bodega Eduardo Garrido with third-generation winemaker Amelia Garrido at the helm.

On pour at the show will be wines including Francis Orban, Champagne Millésime Extra Brut, 2012, (RRP £42.50), Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta, Marchese Leopoldo red,  2014, (RRP £18.50),. Mas du Novi, Lou Rosat rosé, 2016 (RRP £10.90) and Eduardo Garrido Garcia, Rioja Reserva, 2012 (RRP £14.18.)

Also taking part is Vinifera Wine Club, which provides wines and gourmet food to independent retailers and at private events. It also gives its members the chance to go on trips to wine regions. The City Wine Show is part of its broader promotional campaign, increasing awareness of the wines and gourmet foods we introduce to the UK from producers who don’t have representation.

During 2018, Vinifera will be visiting a variety of public events including country fairs, wine and food festivals and business shows. In addition, it will be collaborating with a high-end kitchen design company, Hobsons Choice, providing wine tasting events to their discerning client base. This will give you a taste for the wines on show at our trade and consumer event coming up on 28 June, featuring 28 of the region’s best wines as well as a series of masterclasses.
