The Singleton ‘Sensorium’ and Seedlip to debut at Taste of Hong Kong
Taste of Hong Kong, a sprawling gastronomic and drinks event, is returning to Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront from 22-25 March and will feature the Asian debut of The Singleton’s tasting experience room ‘Sensorium’ and non-alcoholic spirit Seedlip.
This year, Taste of Hong Kong will showcase a total of 20 restaurants including Bo Innovation, Caprice, Little Bao, Pici, Chachawan, One Harbour Road, as well as BlackSalt, Forbidden Duck, Frantzen’s Kitchen, Haku, Happy Paradise, and New Punjab Club, Okra, Duddell’s and Zuma.
‘The Singleton of Glen Ord Sensorium’ mimics a cask and is built surrounded by a 360° video projection. During the thirty-minute tasting experience, 16 guests will be shown videos telling the history of The Singleton of Glen Ord, as well as tasting The Singleton of Glen Ord’s 12, 15 and 18-year-old expressions.
Created to mirror the tasting notes of The Singleton of Glen Ord offering, the sensorium is designed with the influence of American and European Oak, which emulates The Singleton of Glen Ord’s casks in which the whisky ages.
Meanwhile, Seedlip, the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, will officially be launched at the Taste of Hong Kong event in a bid to capture a growing number of non-alcoholic drinkers, as the founder predicts a “beginning of a paradigm shift” in alcohol’s role in people’s daily lives.
To celebrate the brand’s debut in Asia, founder Ben Branson will introduce the brand story and demonstrate how to make the world’s first ‘NOgroni’ and other bespoke Seedlip cocktails on 23 March.
