Bloomsbury Club Bar to host gin and barbershop pop-up that’s free if you’re Irish
The Bloomsbury Club Bar and Ireland’s Dingle Distillery have teamed up for a ‘Trim & Tonic’ pop-up, serving up a hot towel shave and a gin and tonic for £25 – but free to those who can prove that they’re Irish.
The barbershop pop-up forms part of the celebrations during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day at the Irish family owned Bloomsbury Club Bar.
Truefitt & Hill, based in London’s St James’s, will be “grooming men for greatness”, providing guests with a hot towel shave followed by a Dingle gin and tonic. The experience is priced at £25 but is free to those that can prove that they were born in Ireland.
The St Paddy’s day pampering is followed by a ‘soirée’ in the evening, featuring acoustic Irish music, bespoke cocktails, beer and themed food.
Sips include Italian Craic, a mix of Dingle vodka, Italicus, pink grapefruit mist and Prosecco, and Oyster Stout Old Fashioned featuring Slane whisky, Porterhouse oyster stout and cinnamon reduction and ‘decanter bitters’.
Accompanying the drinks will be mini Guinness cakes; crispy pork belly, white pudding and apple purée; and hot smoked salmon, colcannon potatoes and caper butter.
