What’s the most popular beer in China?

What’s the top selling beer in China’s 31* different provinces and cities? We break down the most popular beers province by province, based on the latest report by a Chinese research firm.

Chances are that you probably never heard of Snow beer, a lager originally developed in a joint venture between China Resources and SABMiller. Yet it’s the most ubiquitous and consumed beer in China, the world’s biggest beer market. AB InBev’s Budweiser, as well as Shandong-based Tsingtao Beer, Carlsberg are among brands drunk in almost every province, according to a report by Chinese research company Denghong Yanjiu.

But local breweries such as Lhasa Beer from China’s remote Tibet is a favourite among Tibetans, while Jinxing Beer, produced in the Henan province, and Beijing Yanjing beer made in the Chinese capital, are also popular.
