Chateau Hedong Syrah 2015 won the top prize of Diamond Award at the inaugural China Helan Mountain’s East Foothill Wine – Hong Kong Bauhinia Award Competition. The winery is the northernmost estate in Helan Mountain East Foothills, and has a more prominent diurnal range, says its owner Gong Jie. Its average temperature is 3°C degrees cooler than Qing Tongxia, Yong Ning and Hong Shibao areas in Ningxia. Its grape harvest is usually 10 days later than other wineries in Ningxia, he added.  

The Chateau Hedong Syrah 2015 emerged as the top winner among nearly 100 samples submitted from more than 40 wineries in Ningxia at the wine competition. 

Hong Kong’s newly opened COA bar celebrates anything related to Agave, from its name COA, which refers to the tool used in Mexico to harvest the plant to its extensive list of agave spirits with more than 100 labels of Mezcal, Raicilla and Tequila. Opened by Jay Khan, brand ambassador Rémy Cointreau, the cozy bar on Shin Hing Street in Central is a must stop for any Agave fanatics.
