More details revealed for Craft Beer Rising 2018
As London trade festival Craft Beer Rising returns for its sixth year this February, the organisers reveal more details of what’s in store.
Craft Beer Rising will return to the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
CBR will run from 22-24 February this year. Hosted in Brick Lane’s Old Truman Brewery, CBR will showcase more than 175 breweries from the UK and beyond, alongside a new street food programme, extended range of ciders, and live DJ sets.
Well-established beer brands such as Meantime, Sierra Nevada and Oakham Ales will all be represented at the event, alongside smaller brewers and rising stars including Brixton Brewery and Gypsy Hill.
CBR’s sixth year sees the festival expand by 50% from 8,000 to 12,000 attendees, and as part of its growth welcomes a broader range of international brews from drinks makers such as New Zealand’s Yeastie Boys, Australia’s Little Creatures, and Indian brewery Bira 91.
ORA Brewing from Italy will also be at CBR 18; a brand promising to blend “finest Italian ingredients with British beer styles.”
Alongside a bolstered brewer turnout and a larger range of cider producers, CBR will also showcase street food from a variety of London vendors including Kolkati, Prairie Fire BBQ and Le Bao.
There will also be a selection of vegan street food, as well as a range of vegan beers.
Live DJs will keep the crowd entertained, with appearances from Daddy G of Bristol-based group Massive Attack, Radio 6’s Don Letts, and A Guy Called Gerald.
