World’s first edible cocktail menu launched
The ever-innovative Tippling Club restaurant in Singapore has launched what it claims to be the world’s first edible cocktail menu based around dreams and desires.
The Tippling Club’s new edible cocktail menu takes the form of a dozen gummy bears presented in a retro candy bag
Masterminded by head bartender Joe Schofield and chef-owner Ryan Clift, guests are presented with a dozen gummy bears in a green-and-white striped candy bag.
The bear necessities
The sweets correspond to the 12 different cocktails on the restaurant’s new ‘Dreams and Desires’ list, each mirroring the taste of a specific cocktail.
“With the first ‘Sensorium’ menu we looked to the past, using relatable scents to trigger memories of yesteryear. This time round we have our sights set on the future, by evoking our innermost dreams and desires through taste,” Schofield said.
“The edible gummy bear menu, while deceptively simple, involved months of research and development before we narrowed it down to 12 perfected flavour formulas we felt best represent the dreams and desires we wanted to convey,” he added.
Taking inspiration to some extent from the seven deadly sins, among the cocktails on the menu are ‘Lust’, ‘Power’ and ‘Revenge’.
The Happiness cocktail is served with a passion fruit ‘acid’ tab that fizzes on your tongue, while the Beauty sip is served with a cherry sorbet lipstick.
Each cocktail is priced at S$24 (£13.35) so that guests choose their drink based on their dreams and desires, without being overly influenced by price.

Baby
Served in a baby bottle, this not so innocent, soothing sip is made with gin, citrus, milk, vanilla, apricot and honey.
Happiness
Harking back to the glory days of acid house raves, the Happiness sip marries Tequila with yuzu, lemon, orange and honey and is served with an edible acid tab.
Beauty
They say it’s in the eye of the beholder, but the Beauty cocktail, which marries Champagne with jasmine and cherry, comes with an edible lipstick made from cherry sorbet.
Peace
In our ever busy, noisy world, most of us crave peace and quiet. This snow-white sip blends vodka, almond milk, citrus and lemon balm and is garnished with a peace sign. Far out man…
Lust
The ‘Lust’ gummy bear aims to recreate the scent of Chanel No. 5. It’s liquid equivalent is made with Champagne, tonka bean, vanilla and peach.
Revenge
The cruelest cocktail on the menu comes with an umami-rich gummy bear, while the cocktail pairs vodka with ‘blood’ and caraway seed flavours.
Power
We’re not quite sure why the creators of this cocktail equate power with gingerbread, but the sip muddles rum with orange and citrus flavours.
Success
Sadly looks can be deceiving and the Success sip doesn’t come with a measure of La Tâche – but it is inspired by wine and is made up of a heady blend of whisky, Cognac, red wine and amaro.
Indulgence
Nothing says indulgence like chocolate, and this cherry red cocktail blends cacao nibs with strawberry and Bourbon into a decadent after dinner drink.
Knowledge
And finally… they say knowledge is power, and this unctuous drink should make you think more expansively with its blend of Bourbon, Sherry, almond and white chocolate.
Even though the concept is different, technically is not the world´s first edible menu as there´s already a cocktail bar in Shanghai that has a menu on edible paper….
