Last chance to bid for IMW ‘super lots’

Just a few hours are left to place pre-bids for the ‘super lots’ on offer at The Institute of Masters of Wine dinner and auction at Bonhams in London this week.

To be held on Thursday 16 November, the event has been organised  “to help secure the future of the Institute”, which needs “a considerable sum” to help the organisation “increase its reach to prospective members”, and “extend its range of activities in the wine world”.

Among the super lots is one donated by The Madame Bollinger Foundation, which includes the chance for up to eight guests to lunch at Madame Bollinger’s House and drink a bottle of vintage Bollinger from 1914.

Another comprises an exclusive stay for two couples at Le Pin and Cheval Blanc plus visits and meals at the ‘five greats’ of the Right Bank – Le Pin, Petrus, Lafleur, Cheval Blanc and Ausone.

Pre-bidding will close at 18.00 GMT today, and the super lots – which we have featured below – will go under the hammer at this Thursday’s Endowment Auction.
