The event, to be held at Halls W4-W5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), will see its overall exhibition area grow by over 20%, the company announced.
This year Australia will feature heavily, with 22 companies in the Australian pavilion hosted by Wine Australia, plus around 20 additional exhibitors from Australia elsewhere around the show; Australian exhibitors now occupy 30% more exhibition area compared to last year.
France’s largest producers and traders of wines and spirits, Les Grands Chais de France (GCF Group) has also increased its exhibition area for this year’s event.
Aside from France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Germany, Portugal and the US, Armenia will make its debut at ProWine China 2017. Other new entrants at this year’s event include one Russia’s leading premium vodka producers, Beluga Vodka International Limited, and Champagne producer Delphine Revillon.
One highlight of the event will be the RVF China Zone following the debut of a China Pavilion last year, which will showcase the first 16 Chinese wineries bearing the “Chateau Wine Certification Trademark” issued by the China Alcoholic Drink Association.
In addition to establishing a leading industry meeting point for the world’s wines and spirits producers, ProWine China will also offer masterclasses, tasting zones and wine forums.
Professor Li Demei will continue to preside over the industry forum at ProWine China 2017 under the theme of “Understanding Chinese Consumers.” Masterclasses include the WSET Forum which spans all three days of the show, along with a wide selection of courses organised by various international pavilions.
ProWine China 2017 will offer tasting areas that include Champagne Lounge, Spirits Bar and Pink Rosé Lounge.
This year the Champagne Lounge will feature five Champagne producers and with a further 10 brands presenting their products. Another highlight at this year’s Champagne Lounge will be Champagne Rosé. There will be one corner in the lounge dedicated to rosé Champagne.
Held in parallel with FHC China – China’s leading professional food and hospitality expo with over 72,000 trade buyers in attendance – the event’s closing time for the first two days will be extended by one hour to 7pm, to allow FHC visitors the opportunity to source from the rich selection of wines and spirits on offer.
