V8+ Prosecco gets a revamp
Genagricola’s V8+ Prosecco has unveiled its new label and bottle design in a move which the company says is “just the beginning of the innovation” currently being planned at Genagricola.
V8+ has described the bottles as “new clothes” that are “suggestive of diamonds that add value to the precious content through the softness of their form.” The range, comprising 10 different expressions, from brut to dolce, are each adorned with the same label, mimicking a wax seal, with ‘V’ and a glittery ‘8’ interlocking. The bottles each have the same cut glass design at the bottom and have a different coloured foil, depending on the expression.
In a statement, V8+ said: “The secret of V8+ sparkling wines lies in their ability to engage the consumer, directly and honestly, and to accompany all moments of conviviality with delightful freshness and unobtrusive minerality”.
The Prosecco brand is owned by Genagricola, itself part of Assicurazioni Generali. Genagricola was founded in 1851 and is today the agriculture and food holding company of Generali Italia and the largest agricultural enterprise in Italy.
In 2016, it had a turnover of around €47 million and is formed of 23 companies within Italy and two abroad, with a combined total of 13,000 hectares of cultivated land. It owns seven grape growing and winemaking companies in Italy including Borgo Magredo, Bricco dei Guazzi, Costa Arente, Gregorina, Poggiobello, Solonio, Tenuta Sant’Anna, Torre Rosazza and V8+ Vineyards brands and Dorvena in Romania.
