The week in pictures: Hong Kong
It has been a busy week in Hong Kong’s drinks trade. The drinks business Hong Kong has just concluded Asian Sauvignon Blanc and Rieslings Masters competition on Tuesday with a group of experienced judges including the city’s top wine buyers, wine consultants and sommelier. There are also plenty of bubbles to go around in this sunny weather including Champagne Barons de Rothschild, Prosecco from Italy’s Villa Sandi and crisp wines from Sicily’s Sallier de Latour. Click through the images to see the highlights of the week.
Judges at the Asian Sauvignon Blanc/Riesling Masters organised by the drinks business Hong Kong tasted through around 100 samples of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling submitted from all over the world including Greece, Israel, Australia and New Zealand to name a few, and were impressed by the quality of the wines at the competition. Stay tuned for our results.
Two of our Asian Sauvignon Blanc/Riesling Masters judges, William Chan, general manager and sommelier of famed Cantonese restaurant Cuisine Cuisine, and winemaker Peter Nicholas, were having a laugh after finishing up a morning of judging.
Jeremy Stockman, general manger of Watson’s Wine, Hong Kong’s biggest wine merchant, was one of the judges at our Asian Sauvignon Blanc/Riesling Masters held on Tuesday.
