Six-litre DRC La Tâche leads Zachys HK auction
A Methuselah (six litres) of Domaine Romanée-Conti La Tâche 1999 went under the hammer last Saturday at Zachys Hong Kong auction, selling for the record price of HK$735,000 (US$94,839), the American auction house has announced.
A total of 661 lots were offered at the auction with 97.28% sold for HK$31.17 million (US$4 million).
Other top lots included a banded original wood case of six bottles of Grands Echézeaux Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 2008, which are sold for HK$104,125 (US$13,435), nearly double its pre-sale high estimate. Another six bottles of Richebourg Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 2008 fetched HK$110,250 (US$14,226), while 12 bottles of DRC La Tâche 2000 achieved a grand total of HK$294,000 (US$37,935).
