Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte names new MD
Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte has named Christophe Juarez as its new managing director, who takes over from Julie Campos, who stepped down from the role in March.
Christophe Juarez has been named the new managing director of Nicolas Feuillatte
Juarez, whose most recent position was as CEO of Unicoop – a co-operative based in Cognac – will report to Véronique Blin, chairman of the Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.
Previous to Unicoop Juarez held the position of managing director of Burgundy producer and negociant Laroche Wines.
Prior to joining the wine and spirits industry Juarez, a graduate of the Paris Dauphine University, held various sales and marketing positions for luxury goods companies such as Chanel, L’Oréal and Cartier.
Juarez’s responsibilities will be to continue to develop Nicolas Feuillatte, the third largest Champagne brand in the UK off-trade, and reinforce the “audacity and boldness” of the youngest of the Grandes Marques de Champagne.
His appointment follows the departure of Julie Campos at the end of March after six years at the helm of the co-operative, the last two spent as managing director.
Campos joined Nicolas Feuillatte in March 2011 as commercial director, before succeeding Dominique Pierre as managing director in January 2015.
During her time with Feuillatte, Campos oversaw a number of important developments within the business, including a new ad campaign to mark the brand’s 40th anniversary called Enchanter La Vie, as well as the construction of a new visitor centre at the cooperative’s headquarters, which are just outside Epernay.
