Maestro mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana’s wildly successful bottled cocktail bar White Lyan is to get a heroic makeover and become Super Lyan.

Super Lyan will open on 14 April and will offer a collection of “Bitchin’ Classics” of seemingly familiar drinks that have been pimped up by Ryan and his team.

The classic cocktails will be presented in an accessible, jargon-free menu that guides guests according to their taste, palates and even their moods.

Among the sips on offer will be the Dog’s Nose Clover Club, priced at £9, which blends Chambord, gin ‘sizzurp’, lemon and Guinness for extra bite.

The £9.50 Queen’s Park meanwhile, blends Bacardi Carta Blanca and Bacardi Ocho, lemon, green herbs, and Peychaud and avocado leaf bitters.

While the Man on Fire marries Dewar’s 12, Ancho Reyes, Del Maguey Vida, lemon and pine honey for £10 a pop.

Snacks include ricotta and crackers and olives with vermouth and herbs.

Within White Lyan’s former basement in Hoxton, Super Lyan will maintain its original bare brick walls, neon signage, leather booths and dancing pole.

Super Lyan is the first part of a two stage transformation happening at the venue.
