Following on from its Blenders’ Batch Red Rye Finish, the Cask and Rye Finish is a blend of over 200 whiskies from five distilleries, aged in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in former rye casks for up to six months.
Commenting on the new release and the creation of the Blenders’ Batch portfolio, the marketing director of MHD, Rajesh Joshi said:
“The Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch series showcases the range of miscellany and character of the liquid, enabling consumers to rediscover the world of Scotch.”
In conjunction with the launch, Diageo has appointed Kino Soh as brand ambassador for the Johnnie Walker portfolio. Soh was most recently a finalist in the Singapore Diageo World Class 2016 and is also owner and bartender of Highball near Spottiswoode Park.
The Cask and Rye Finish features whiskies from five renowned distilleries, including Dufftown and the now-silent Port Dundas and is priced S$120 per one litre bottle.
