HDH announces sixth ‘Celebration of Burgundy’ sale
Chicago-based auction house Hart Davis Hart has announced further details of its sixth ‘Celebration of Burgundy’ sale.
Featuring over 1,400 lots of fine and rare Burgundy, the sale is expected to realise close to US$5 million when it takes place on 1 April.
The auctioneer said that with worldwide demand for Burgundy still so robust, the “impressive breadth” of wines at the auction “is expected to attract bidders from around the globe.”
The sale will feature wines from over 160 domaines and spanning the vintages 1949-2015. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is particularly well represented with 128 lots and there are large consignments of Leroy and Domaine Leflaive as well, and good amounts of Armand Rousseau, Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Dujac, Georges Roumier, Domaine Ponsot, Coche-Dury, and François Lamarche.
There are slightly smaller consignments of Emmanuel Rouget and Henri Jayer too.
