Ed Sheeran buys Italian villa for its vineyard

No stranger to booze-fuelled purchases, Ed Sheeran has announced that he has bought an Italian villa purely because it has a vineyard.

The property, located in Umbria near to the town of Paciano, comes with its own vineyard.

Speaking to The Sun, Sheeran commented, “I didn’t want to buy in Tuscany because there are too many English people there.”

“There is a vineyard and the moment I saw it I knew I had to buy that place.”

Having previously wanted to keep the location of the villa a secret, Sheeran later admitted that he started his ‘Divide Tour’ in Turin just so that he could spend a couple of days in his new property.

Sheeran has always been candid about his love of alcohol, recently revealing he has built a secret tunnel to a private pub underneath his North London home.

It appears that he will go to great lengths for a drop of the hard stuff, but the question remains – what next? A gin palace, a private Champagne fountain, we’ll just have to wait and see!
