Famed for introducing little-known and closed down distilleries to the wider whisky-drinking public, The Lost Distillery was founded in 2013 and is led by its substantial archiving team who analyse all factors that alter the style of whisky, for example, still size, production techniques, the location’s water profile, peat source, the barley and maturation techniques.
The Lost Distillery features three ranges of blended malt Scotch whisky – Classic, Archivist and Vintage – which offer modern day interpretations of spirits from silent distilleries such as Auchnagie, Stratheden, Towiemore, Jericho, Gerston, Lossit and Dalaruan.
Hong Kong’s Adega Royale – already known for its substantial Portuguese wine and Scotch whisky offering – officially took on The Lost Distillery on 27 February and will act as its official agent for the Hong Kong and Macau markets.
Scott Watson, co-founder of The Lost Distillery Company said: “Adega Royale’s appointment is a key move for us in building brand awareness with Scotch aficionados across Asia, as we continue to grow our global whisky business from East Ayrshire.”
“The team’s in-depth experience and understanding of the sector provides an ideal platform to showcase and educate consumers in Hong Kong and Macau about our exceptional whisky proposition.”
