Wine columnist, writer and Saturday Kitchen regular, Olly Smith, and wine writer, educator and consultant, Richard Hemming MW, have launched a new star-studded wine podcast called ‘A Glass With…’
England cricketer Stuart Broad and host Olly Smith.
Produced by Hemming and hosted by Smith, celebrity guests talk about their love of wine and share their favourite bottle.
Actor, winemaker and owner of Two Paddocks Sam Neill with Olly Smith.
Series one will feature pop singer P!NK, England cricketer Stuart Broad, Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall, comedian Stephen K Amos, voice of Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me Dave Lamb, and actor and winemaker Sam Neill, who recently talked to us about his work at Two Paddocks in New Zealand.
The podcast will be available via iTunes, Overcast, Soundcloud and other podcast platforms and apps, with each episode lasting between 30 and 45 minutes.
Speaking about the project, Richard Hemming MW said, “It’s a great format – chatting over a shared bottle makes for a relaxed and friendly conversation, and our guests not only talk about their love of wine but give us some great insights into their life and career – including some world-exclusive announcements.”
Olly Smith meanwhile is typically enthusiastic about the venture, adding “I am over the moon to be hosting A Glass With. Our guests for series one were simply brilliant – funny, honest, frank and revealing. Everyone can dive into this podcast – it’s not just for wine lovers. We are already working on series two, and have some superb guests in store.”
Episodes will be released every Thursday between 23 March and 27 April, with a new series planned for later in the year.
