Zuma HK and Penhaligon’s pair up
Zuma’s bar manager in Hong Kong, Arkadiusz Rybak, has created a series of cocktails based on Penhaligon’s new Portraits perfume collection that will launch on Valentine’s Day.
Penhaligon’s new Portraits range is based on a family of regal characters, and Arkadiusz Rybak has invented four aromatic cocktails inspired by some of the personalities – Lady Blanche, The Duke, Duchess Rose and Lord George.
Voted Hong Kong’s Best Bartender in 2016 at the Bar Awards, Rybak has used a host of handmade and exotic ingredients, including yuzu gin and rose-infused vodka to create an aromatic range of cocktails in honour of the romance of Valentine’s Day.
The cocktail collection will launch at Zuma from 14 February and will be available until 31 March, priced at HK$110 each with a sample of Penhaligon’s fragrance given out with each cocktail.

Lady Blanche
Building on the Narcissus and Hyacinth floral notes of Lady Blanche, Arkadiusz has crafted a Toro-infused and re-distilled vodka to provide a creamy and sweet base for his handmade yuzu gin and atsukan syrup cocktail.
The Duke
Inspired by the classic British cocktail, The Gimlet, and the spice, rose, gin and leather notes of The Duke, the cocktail interpretation of this masculine fragrance uses the botanicals found in Hendricks Gin, and a specially created rose and pepper cordial to make a Martini-like creation, served with a single rose petal.
Duchess Rose
For those in a playful mood, Duchess Rose has notes of Mandarin, Rose and wood which is emulated in Arkadisuz’s juicy mandarin, champagne and rose-infused vodka cocktail, served in a Champagne flute.
Lord George
With hints of tonka bean and sakura, along with ambergris and Umeshu whisky, Lord George is a boisterous and boyish cocktail – just like its namesake fragrance – and is served in a whisky tumbler with a solid block of ice.
