db launches organic wine competition
the drinks business is delighted to announce the launch of The Global Organic Masters tasting competition for certified organic and biodynamic wines.
The competition is open to all styles of wine, from sparkling to fortified, as long as they are made with grapes that are certified either organic or biodynamic.
Like our other Masters tastings competitions, which span the leading styles of wine – from sparking to rosé – as well as major noble grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the wines are judged blind without any indication of their origin.
Furthermore, our judging panel will, as ever, be comprised exclusively of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers, who are tasked with assessing the wines purely by quality, with the samples arranged in flights according to style and price.
The best wines will be awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, with only the truly exceptional wines awarded the top accolade of Master.
We believe that there has never been a more exciting time for organic wine, and the Global Organic Masters will recognise the very best wines in this fast-growing category.
To enter, please contact Sophie Raichura at sophie@thedrinksbusiness.com or on +44 (0) 207 803 2454
The deadline for entries is 3 March 2017.
