Cliff Richard drops price of wine estate
Sir Cliff Richard has dropped the price of his Portuguese vineyard estate by €3 million to €6.5m – a 31% discount on the initial €9.5m asking price.
The British crooner has produced his Vida Nova wine range at his Quinta do Miradouro property and neighbouring Adega do Cantor (Cellar of the Singer) winery in Albufeira since the late 1990s, producing 50,000 cases of wine a year from 24 hectares of vines. Richard, 76, put the estate on the market last year.
The 11-bed property has been listed with Fine & Country, with the sale including all equipment needed to produce the existing line of wines, including fermenters and tanks.
The property also boasts garden and private pool area and tennis court with views over the vineyards and down to the coast.
The Vida Nova wine range includes a number of red and rosé wines, as well as a Portuguese sparkler.
