Christie’s to host ex-cellar Figeac sale

St Emilion premier grand cru classé, Château Figeac, has announced it has released a number of wines from its cellars to be sold by Christie’s in London this March.

Scheduled to take place on 16 March the consignment spans the vintages 1934 to 2010 and includes a number of large format bottles as well.

Notable highlights that have been announced so far include a Jeroboam of 1949 (£3,000 – £5,000), three bottles of the 1961 (£900 – £1,200) and an imperial of 1982 (£2,000 – £3,000).

The owner of Château Figeac, Marie-France Manoncourt, commented: “As owners of Château-Figeac, it is an honour for us to present with Christie’s this exceptional collection of very rare treasures from our cellars.
