Wines from Spain announces ‘Heart of Spain’ tasting
Wines from Spain has announced its 2017 annual London tasting, which is set to take place at Tobacco Dock on 9 March and will showcase some 1,200 wines from over 300 producers.
It’s ‘Heart of Spain’ tasting will give members of the UK drinks trade the chance to taste their way around Spain’s 69 DOs and 41 IGPs, and sample the latest releases and vintages from classic and up-and-coming regions. Masterclasses and self-pour tastings will take place throughout the day, with the full programme of features set to be announced in late January.
“We are looking forward to hosting our next major showcase of Spanish wines here in the UK market,” said Maria José Sevilla, director at Foods and Wines from Spain. “‘Heart of Spain’ pays tribute to Spanish culture: the passion, love of life and immense heart of our people finds its best expression in our wines and foods. It is what makes Spain so unique and seduces consumers here in the UK and around the world. We are delighted to have so many great wineries exhibiting at the next annual tasting on 9 March 2017. New styles from both established and emerging regions encourage consumers to explore the Spanish category further. We look forward to a great day of tasting.”
Earlier this month Sevilla announced she would be stepping down from her role as director after 17 years.
