Penfolds releases new vintage of Max range
In time for Chinese New Year, Penfolds has launched the 2015 vintage of its Max tribute collection in honour of former chief winemaker, Max Schubert.
Created to drink now, the range includes Max’s ‘The Promise’ Shiraz, Max’s Shiraz Cabernet blend, Max’s Shiraz and Max’s Cabernet Sauvignon all from the 2015 vintage and retailing at HK$298 for ‘The Promise’ and HK$208 for the rest of the collection.
The range is in tribute to Max Schubert, former chief winemaker of Penfolds who joined the estate in 1931 and is best known for creating Penfolds’ iconic Grange Hermitage.
‘The Promise’, a limited edition Shiraz, has been launched in particular for the upcoming Chinese New Year in ‘auspicious’ red and gold packaging and commemorating the Year of the Fire Rooster which will start on Saturday, 28 January.
