Whiskey Ginger brings Londoners the Sproutini
Adding to db’s existing list of disgusting drinks, but with a much more festive twist, one London bar has invented the Sproutini.
Brought to the capital by Borough’s Whiskey Ginger, the Sproutini mixes a blend of Brussels Sprouts, garlic and black pepper, with vodka, lemon juice, ginger, and syrup, among other ingredients – in what sounds like a truly disgusting take on the venerable Martini.
The full list of ingredients can be seen below. Meanwhile, for a list of the world’s most disgusting alcoholic drinks compiled by the drinks business earlier this month, click here.
Sproutini ingredients:
Make a premix by blending 10-12 Brussel Sprouts, ¼ clove of garlic, black pepper and water.
Then combine 75ml of the premix with…
35ml JJ Whitley Potato Vodka
25ml fresh lemon juice
10 ml fresh ginger juice
10ml brown sugar syrup
2 dashes of green Tabasco
and some egg white
Finally…
add to a shaker filled with cubed ice, shake, and then strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a few sprout leaves.
