TVB launches season 3 of In Vino Veritas with Jeannie Cho Lee MW

Hong Kong TV station TVB Pearl will air the third season of acclaimed lifestyle and wine programme In Vino Veritas on 30 November, starring Jeannie Cho Lee MW, producer and wine director of the show, with Nicolas Boutin, executive chef of Épure and TVB actress Selena Li.

The new season follows Jeannie Cho Lee MW’s wine trip from New World’s Chile to Asia’s wine capital Hong Kong, back to Old World wine region France.

One of the highlights of the new season is a blind tasting of eight top Bordeaux wines against eight Napa Valley wines to look at the influences of French wines, and how they have impacted wine styles in Chile, Napa and other New World regions. There’s also a special food and wine pairing challenge for chef Nicolas in the season.

“In Vino Viritas is not only a lifestyle show for wine lovers, it is also an educational and informative programme to popularise wine culture in Hong Kong, ” says S K Cheong, general manager of TVB.

“This year, we try to look at how the wine world is expanding and we are really diversifying our taste and branching out,” says Jeannie Cho Lee MW at the press conference held at Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel on November 23.

The master of wine also shared her professional tips about wine pairing at the press conference by hosting a wine and food pairing competition with one Burgundy white from Nuits-Saint-Georges and a Pinot Noir from Limarí, Chile.

The show will be aired starting from 30 November every Wednesday on TVB Pearl from 9PM to 9.30PM.
