Tesco launches mulled wine loo roll
In a bid to get people in the festive spirit, supermarket giant Tesco has started selling mulled wine-scented loo roll in the run up to Christmas.
As reported by The Metro, the Tesco own-brand “luxury soft toilet tissue” is infused with the spicy scent of mulled wine.
The quilted rolls, which come in packs of four and cost £2 a pop, feature Christmas motifs from pine cones and snowflakes to stars and holly leaves.
Among the ingredients used to create the mulled wine scent are citrol, eugenol, cinnamol, citronella and limonene.
“Our mulled spice scented toilet tissue has a mulled spice fragrance core and decorated paper for extra indulgence everyday,” said a spokesperson for the supermarket.
The reaction from Twitter thus far has been less than enthusiastic, with many questioning why customers would want to associate the two products.
