Franklin & Sons eye vodka market with premium lemonade
Franklin & Sons has added a lemonade to its range of mixers in a bid to target the growing premium vodka market – which it says grew at 7.6% to 6 August MAT, ahead of brandy, whiskey and rum.
Its Original Lemonade contains one of the highest percentages of natural lemon juice on the market, made using Argentine lemons, Staffordshire spring water and natural British sugar, with no artificial colours or flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
First launched in December 2015, Franklin & Sons range of premium tonics and mixers are made with all-natural ingredients and tap into the UK’s growing cocktail culture.
Its entire range of mixers has been developed with the Shaker Bar School to meet the needs of today’s mixologists, and increasingly discerning consumers.
“Franklin & Sons is a brand rooted in its Victorian heritage and has a passion for original, great tasting drinks,” said Justin Horsman, marketing controller at Global Brands.
“We strive to use the best quality ingredients, specially procured from around the world in order to deliver a high quality taste. We wanted to create a lemonade that stands out as a great serve alone yet is also brought to life when used as a mixer with premium spirits.”
The Original Lemonade flavour is produced in single serve 200ml recyclable embossed glass bottles, along with the rest of the range which includes its Sicilian lemon tonic, ginger ale, ginger beer, Indian tonic water and natural light tonic.
The range is now available in 20 international markets and has secured listings in both Harrods and Selfridges.
