Christie’s announces 50th anniversary sale
Christie’s is to hold two more fine wine sales in London this winter, one later this month and one in early December, which marks the 50th anniversary of the auctioneer’s wine sales.
The November wine auction will be held on the 10th at the house’s King Street salesroom and features an array of fine Burgundy from the likes of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leflaive and Marc Colin.
Highlights include a case of 1993 DRC La Tâche (£12,000 – £16,000) and Lelflaive’s Montrachet from the 2003-2012 vintages.
A reconditioned case of 1961 Hermitage La Chapelle (£75,000 – £90,000) will also be offered alongside four magnums of 1971 Dom Pérignon Rosé (£3,200 – £4,000).
The December sale meanwhile, which takes place on the 8th of that month, also marks Christie’s 50th anniversary of wine sales.
There are a number of particularly fine and rare clarets in the line-up including 1947 Cheval Blanc, 1945 Mouton Rothschild, 1961 Lafite and 1982 Latour.
