Trade masterclasses at Chelsea Wine Show announced
This week’s Wine Show Chelsea will see two masterclasses put on for trade visitors featuring sparkling wines and more obscure offerings from around the world.
Taking place on Friday, 14 October at Chelsea Old Town Hall, the first masterclass will cover sparkling wines from around the world and the second, more unusual and esoteric wines that have scored highly in The Drinks Business Global Masters competition.
db’s editor-in-chief, Patrick Schmitt MW and Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW will host the first session at 2pm and present sparkling wines from France, Italy, England and California at a range of price points.
At 3.30pm Schmitt and Jonathan Pedley MW will lead tasters through an array of wines including Swiss Syrah, a Portuguese Syrah-Viognier blend, Indian Sauvignon Blanc, Thai Shiraz and Turkish Cabernet.
