M&S to stock Champagne Lanson for first time
As many as 220 branches of Marks & Spencer across the UK are to carry Champagne Lanson for the first time in the store’s history.
The supermarket has chosen to take Lanson’s Extra Age Brut NV, which is made of a blend of three great vintages: 2002, 2004 and 2005, which are then aged for at least five years in the brand’s cellars.
Commenting on the decision to stock the Champagne, Sue Daniels, who is winemaker for Champagne and sparkling wine at Marks & Spencer, said, “We are delighted to have Champagne Lanson’s Extra Age Brut NV added to our growing Champagne offering. We know that our customers will welcome an opportunity to try this exceptional Champagne.”
Paul Beavis, managing director, Champagne Lanson, UK & International added: “We are absolutely thrilled about Marks & Spencer’s decision to stock our exquisite Champagne Lanson Extra Age Brut NV. This is an important listing for us. We know that once customers try our Champagnes they become advocates and we hope that this will develop into a long-lasting relationship with Marks & Spencer.”
Champagne Lanson Extra Age Brut NV will be available in 220 Marks & Spencer stores starting from today – as well as online at www.marksandspencer.com – and will be priced at £45.
Champagne Lanson Extra Age Brut NV was awarded a Gold medal in the drinks business Champagne Masters in both this year’s and 2015’s competitions.
