Gosset releases 2004 ‘Celebris’
Champagne Gosset has announced the release of the latest vintages in its ‘Celebris’ range – the 2004 blanc and 2007 rosé.
Both wines are extra-brut, come in new packaging and presented in a “revamped” presentation case.
The 2004 is a blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir. Cellarmaster Odilon de Varine has hailed it as, “an incredibly complex and balanced vintage. The malic acid which has been expertly preserved in this cuvée gives it the freshness and elegance of great wines and which we will no doubt continue to talk about in several decades to come.”
The rosé meanwhile is a blend of 59% Chardonnay and 41% Pinot Noir with 7.5% of the Pinot being red wine. Its tasting note alludes to aromas of raspberries, blueberries, lilac and bourbon vanilla.
The 2004 will retail for around £110 a bottle and is available from Berry Bros & Rudd, BI, Corney & Barrow, Fine & Rare, Justerini & Brooks and Lay & Wheeler.
