Dom Pérignon teams up with artist Michael Riedel
Contemporary German artist Michael Riedel has created a set of limited edition designs for Dom Pérignon 2006 and Rosé 2004.
Michael Riedel has taken the ‘D’ and ‘P’ in the maison’s name and layered them across both the box and the bottle labels
The special bottle and gift box by Michael Riedel will have an RRP of £155 for the Blanc 2006 and £345 for the Rosé 2004, and will be available in the UK from specialists such as Selfridges, Harrods, Hedonism and Jeroboams from this month.
Michael Riedel’s design has been developed to signify the transformation of Dom Pérignon during the time it spends ageing on its lees.
To achieve this, he has taken the ‘D’ and ‘P’ in the maison’s name, and created what the artist refers to as a “poetic optical metaphor for the passage of time” by layering the two letters across both the box and the bottle labels.
Dom Pérignon has long collaborated with designers and artists, including Björk and Chris Cunningham, Jeff Koons, David Lynch, Karl Lagerfeld and Iris Van Herpen plus creative projects with Robert Wilson and Lang Lang.
