Boisset to open ‘wine lounge’ in Vougeot
One of Burgundy’s biggest producers, the Boisset family, has opened a ‘wine lounge’ in Vougeot.
Located in a former winemaker’s house, the new bar will be called ‘La Maison’ and it has been completely restored and refurbished by Frédéric Didier an architect in Cluny who has worked on some of France’s national monuments.
The bar will introduce visitors to the history of the Boisset family as well as offer them the chance to stay and try the wines or buy them to take away.
Wines from the family’s Domaine de la Vougeraie, the Jean-Claude Boisset label and the Crémant de Bourgogne from the ‘JCB’ range.
Described as a “chic, theatrical ambiance” visitors will be able to sit down in a variety of different rooms, each with their own feel and style, with either a bottle or glass of wine or they can taste through a selection on offer in Enomatics.
