Sotheby’s to hold wine tasting at classic car event
Auction house Sotheby’s is to hold a wine tasting at an exhibition of classic cars in London this September.
One of the auctioneer’s wine specialists, Caroline Shepherd, will show and talk about four wines at the event, which will take place at RM Battersea on 6 September.
The wines have not been revealed but the are Burgundies ranging from village to grand cru.
The house’s jewellery and watch departments will also be hosting talks during the exhibition.
Some of the cars on display include a 1956 Austin Princess once owned by John Lennon and one of the rarest Aston Martin road cars ever made, the 1963 DB4 Series V convertible.
